CERAMIQUE EMAILLEE / 2014

Terrailles est une proposition de trois ustensiles de cuisine qui forment un ensemble. Ces ustensiles font référence à la céramique utilitaire des XVI° et XVII° siècles. En cela ils sont une relecture et revisitent les origines.
Trois objets existants ont retenu mon attention : la marmite parmentière, le four portatif et la chaufferette. Ces trois pièces ont pour thème commun la cuisson sur le feu. L’argile qui agit comme un cocon thermique permet une cuisson saine et lente qui magnifie les saveurs.

Ces objets sont réalisés en céramique tournée avec de la terre jaune de Soufflenheim traditionnellement utilisée en Alsace pour la réalisation de poteries culinaires. L’intérieur est émaillé avec un engobe transparent.

Terrailles a fait partie des projets finalistes lors du concours Cinna 2017.

Terrailles is a set of 3 kitchen utensils. These utensils refer to useful ceramics from XVI° and XVII° centuries. In this they are a proofreading and revisit the origins.

Three objects existing have drawn my attention: the parmentiere cooking pot, the portable oven and the heating pad. These three pieces have as a common them, cooking through fire. The clay act as a heating cocoon and allows a slow and healthy cooking that preserve the flavours.

These objects are made of ceramics wheeled with yellow dirt from Soufflenheim. This is traditionally used in Alsace to make culinary pottery. The inside is enamelled with a transparent engobe.
